1. Who we are

Sevendipity ("Sevendipity", "we", "us" or "our") provides flexible remote staffing services, connecting businesses with vetted global remote professionals.

We are the controller of the personal information described in this policy. You can contact us about privacy at hello@sevendipity.com.

2. Information we collect

We collect information you give us directly, information generated when you use our website, and information we receive from remote professionals during vetting and placement.

  • Business enquiry details: your name, company, work email, phone number, role requirements, hours, budget indication and any notes you add to an enquiry form.
  • Candidate application details: your name, contact details, work experience, skills, availability, rate expectations and any CV or portfolio link you choose to share.
  • Engagement information: records of placements, timesheet and billing information, and correspondence with our team.
  • Website and device information: IP address, browser type, pages viewed, referring page and similar technical data collected through cookies and analytics.
  • Marketing attribution: campaign, source and medium parameters attached to the link you arrived through.

3. How we use information

  • To respond to enquiries and prepare talent recommendations.
  • To assess, vet and present remote professionals for roles.
  • To administer placements, invoicing and the 7 Day Confidence Guarantee.
  • To provide customer support and manage our relationship with you.
  • To improve our website, services and content.
  • To send service updates and, where permitted, relevant marketing you can opt out of at any time.
  • To comply with legal, tax and record-keeping obligations, and to prevent fraud or misuse.

4. Lawful bases for processing

Where data protection law requires a lawful basis, we rely on: performance of a contract (delivering staffing services you have requested); our legitimate interests (running, securing and improving our business, and business-to-business marketing); your consent (optional cookies and certain marketing); and compliance with legal obligations.

Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal.

5. Sharing information

We do not sell personal information. We share it only as set out below.

  • With clients: relevant candidate profile information needed to assess a placement.
  • With remote professionals: the role information needed to consider and perform an engagement.
  • With service providers acting on our instructions, such as hosting, email delivery, customer relationship management, analytics and payment providers.
  • With professional advisers, insurers and auditors where necessary.
  • Where required by law, regulation or legal process, or to protect our rights and the safety of others.
  • With a buyer or successor in the event of a merger, acquisition or reorganisation.

6. International transfers

We work with global remote talent and with service providers that may be located outside your country. Where personal information is transferred internationally, we use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or transfers to jurisdictions recognised as providing adequate protection.

7. How long we keep information

We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy. Enquiry records are typically retained for up to 24 months after last contact, candidate records for up to 24 months after last activity unless you ask us to remove them sooner, and engagement, billing and tax records for the period required by law (commonly six to seven years).

8. Security

We use technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk, including access controls, encryption in transit, vetting of staff and contractual protections with our providers. No system can be guaranteed completely secure, so please avoid sending sensitive documents by unsecured email.

9. Cookies and analytics

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies that are strictly necessary for the site to function, plus optional analytics and advertising technologies that help us understand how the site is used and measure campaign performance.

You can control cookies through your browser settings and, where a consent banner is presented, through your consent choices.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, correct inaccurate information, request deletion, object to or restrict certain processing, request portability, and opt out of marketing.

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@sevendipity.com. We will respond within the period required by applicable law and may need to verify your identity first.

11. Children

Our website and services are intended for businesses and working professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised, and material changes will be highlighted on this page.

14. Contact and complaints
